Hyde Hotel

Project context

Hyde Business Bay is an urban lifestyle hotel on the Dubai Water Canal, combining accommodation with food and beverage, a rooftop pool, wellness and event facilities. It was the brand's first property outside the United States.

NEXTSTEP provided client representation and executive project management for the hotel. The assignment combined owner-side coordination and delivery oversight with the commercial and procurement work required to move the project forward following a change of main contractor. Our focus was to align the project team, manage the transition and protect the owner's objectives through completion.

Workstreams

1. 01

   Owner's representation

   Acting as the owner's single point of contact with consultants, contractors and the operator, with regular progress meetings, site inspections and structured reporting to ownership.

2. 02

   Contractor transition

   Managing the orderly exit of the original main contractor, including a valuation of the works at termination and the protection of the project record.

3. 03

   Re-tendering and appointment

   Preparing and running the re-procurement of the remaining works, evaluating bids and supporting negotiation of the replacement contract.

4. 04

   Delivery to completion

   Coordinating the new contractor, design team and operator requirements through completion, commissioning and handover.
